Let's Explore
When confusion brings hope
After days of despair and confusion, a few young women gathered their spices and walked to the tomb.
I imagine them speaking softly as they walked—remembering how this teacher made them feel seen, inspired. How he stirred something in them, a quiet belief that their lives could be different. That a better world was possible, even under Roman rule.
But now, he was gone.
What now?
As they came closer to the tomb that despair turned to curiosity, maybe even confusion - the stone was rolled away? White-robed beings saying strange things? Their teacher’s body gone?
Is that when hope returned?
There are many lessons in the Easter story, yet one I find especially meaningful this year is this:
Hope doesn't return all at once. It stirs. It flickers. It asks us to stay curious, even when things don’t make sense.
And that curiosity? It’s often the first step toward clarity.
I’ve seen this in clients who come in desperate for clarity, confused about why they’re suddenly disenchanted with a long-loved career. I see this in my BetterUp clients - smart, capable professionals who can’t figure out why their ideas aren’t landing, why they feel invisible.
Underneath it all?
A knowing. A stirring. A sense that something better is possible—even if they can’t see it yet.
That’s hope.
What I’ve come to realize is that this kind of hope is more than optimism.
It’s the beginning of clarity. And clarity is the gateway to connection.
Whether someone’s preparing to shift their career or just trying to sound less rambly in meetings, they’re really trying to connect—with others, yes, but also with themselves.
That’s the shift I’ve been making in my own work lately—helping people find the message - the words - that reflect what they really want to say.
They have the drive to contribute, now they just need ways to clarify their ideas, value, message - their impact.
Maybe you’re in a season like that right now—a little murky, a little messy, but quietly hopeful.
If so, I’m cheering for you.
And if you'd like some company while you figure out what clarity looks like for you, let’s have a coffee chat. Yes, I mean you.
You’re a valued part of my support circle. I’d love the chance to return that favor and hear what’s on your mind. Here's my booking page - grab a spot right now while you're thinking about it.
(And stay tuned—new offerings and resources are on the way, sparked by the incredible conversations I’ve had lately.)
Let’s use this Spring to grow what matters: hope through clarity, connection, and meaningful contribution.
